Prerequisites:
Dogs must already understand basic cues such as sit and down, have foundational manners in place, and be friendly with people and other dogs. These sessions are designed for social learning, not behavior modification for reactivity or aggression.

 Join us for five weeks of real-world training designed to help dogs and handlers feel calm, confident, and comfortable in dog-friendly breweries, patios, and public spaces.

This class focuses on practical social skills like settling in busy environments, polite leash walking, calm greetings, and handler confidence using positive, real-world methods.

Hi! I’m Jillian, the trainer behind The Social Pup. For 20+ years I’ve helped dogs and their people build real-world manners that actually work outside the classroom. My assistant is Eggs Benedict - you can call him "Benny" or "Eggsy", a happy, well-traveled social butterfly who’s welcome in all kinds of establishments because he’s confident, calm, and well-mannered. He’s the heart of this company and the inspiration behind all class offerings.

My approach is positive, practical, and people-friendly - clear steps, quick wins, and training you’ll use on patios, sidewalks, and busy lobbies. Whether you’re dreaming of relaxed brewery hangouts with a Certified Brewery-Friendly Dog or aiming for Canine Good Citizen (CGC) or S.T.A.R. Puppy (coming soon!) I’ll help you and your dog learn all the best social pup behaviors...without stress.
